Rob Jones aka The Voluntary Butler Scheme has been quickly and also at the same time churning quality and quite nostalgic pop tunes for a bit now. When not accompanying The Boy Least Likely To live or performing percussion for The School, he sings and swooshes out little pop gems as The Voluntary Butler Scheme.
Unlike his contemporaries, Rob’s penning and production is quite authentic sounding. If one were to close their eyes and lazily lay down on their couch while listening to his tunes, they would be quickly transported back to the late 60s to early 70s where colors looked worn out and fall leaves were layered in bright orange and reds.
So after much time has passed, he will finally be releasing music to be purchased. An EP titled from one his songs Trading Things In will be released July 21st. So while you wait, check him out on tour in the UK and listen to his spring-time filled quirky pop song “Laundry.”
