The cool thing about indie pop songs these days is that I’ve seen and heard more and more of them remixed. Although I don’t consider Cults to be part of the “indie pop community,” their song “Go Outside” has brought them to stardom in the sense songs such as “Postcards From Italy” did for Beirut.
Now, their cult (haha, get it? Cult? haha…) hit “Go Outside” was previously remixed by Brainbheats which took their sugary pop single into a electronic realm. But this new Menahan Street Band remix keeps the song’s fun pop aspects and adds a more nostalgic element with the more sixties jangling guitars and organs much more prominent. It’s not to different from the original but adds just enough of a different vibe to make it more than fun enough to add to your collection.
