RADIOHEAD “Lotus Flower” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO + THE KING OF LIMBS STREAM

Radiohead

Surprise! Surprise! Radiohead moved quick and instead of releasing their album tomorrow it’s out today! On top of that there’s a music video for their track “Lotus Flower.” The video was directed and produced by Garth Jennings. It was shot by Nick Wood. It was choreographed by Wayne McGregor. Yes, I said choreographer. The whole music video is a shot of the one and only Thom Yorke doing his representational dance. Via wiki, “In Buddhist symbolism, the lotus represents purity of the body, speech, and mind as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire.” Well, if there is any connection, Yorke’s dance, face, physical attributes and demeanor shines of “purity of the body, speech, and mind as if floating about the muddy waters of attachment and desire.

If the video doesn’t excited you enough, Los Angeles’ KROQ posted up a stream of The King of Limbs. So far so good. Listen for yourself here.

I no longer feel self-confident about dancing in the dark like that. awesome.

Cinematography was fine, very fine. I love that silky monochrome and the editing style.
