WEEZER "Meri Kuri" (BoA Kwon Cover) MP3

BoA

Well, Weezer’s 6th and 3rd self-titled (Red Album) didn’t make a splash the way the debut single “Pork And Beans” did.  But the Japanese do get something special on their edition of Weezer’s new album.  They cover Korean popstar BoA Kwan’s “Meri Kuri!”  Now this jolted to some excitement in my bones.  I am a starry-eyed fan of BoA.  But unfortunately, just like 50% of this record, the cover song doesn’t really deliver what we have all been hoping for.  But I am quite impressed by Cumos’ Korean.  Whether he is just mimicking or actually knows some Korean it doesn’t sound too bad.

Sorry to spam your blog … I’m really enjoying you blog, and I’ve heard some great stuff. Any chance you’ll post the new Postmarks “By The Numbers” track? Still impossible to download in New Zealand, even if you’re an eMusic subscriber.

Totally tangental, I co-run an indie label in New Zealand, Lil’ Chief Records. http://www.lilchiefrecords.com – let me know if you’re keen on hearing some of out stuff. Based on a lot of your posts, you might dig us. (Drop me a line: lawrencemikkelsen”at”gmail.com if you’re interested)
