LADY GAGA “Born This Way” MP3 + OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

Lady Gaga

Alright people, here we go. Lady Gaga debuted her new music video for her first single from the same titled album Born This Way earlier today. Having already heard the single before it absolutely chimes in on the Madonna-ness from her influences. That isn’t deniable. But the music video strays from that. Molded into a strange beast-like mix of just weird, half-breed vampire, pterodactyl, alien thing she sleuths through a birth that announces her evil being from the rest of the universe. Now, the story telling as campy as it was actually reminded me of earlier sci-fi films that I actually enjoyed. The eighties was the shit and still is. And with a combination of Madonna references (check them out on Idolator) and who knows which sci-fi films were hacked – the earlier portion of the music was enjoyable for me. The rest of the dancing and prancing as there is in any mainstream pop music video was what it was.

Lady Gaga does things differently. And if she has to keep doing it to keep herself in the limelight, good for her. She can pull it off. But I don’t think she’ll ever have the presence and longevity that the Queen of Pop has had.

THE SOUND OF ARROWS “Nova” MP3 + OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

The Sound of Arrows

Oskar Gullstrand and Stefan Storm from Sweden are The Sound of Arrows. For the last three years or so they’ve been quietly swirming around. They gave us one of the sweetest indie pop gems with their track “Danger!” which came out on the veritable Swedish label Labrador Records. Then a magical music video came out for their track “M.A.G.I.C.” and “Into The Clouds.” The duo was also hibernating in the United Kingdom for a while where they (I believe) produced these fantasy and NeverEnding Story driven music videos. But since then they’ve laid low producing a remix here and there. Surprisingly, one happened to be for Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro.”

Well, let’s fast forward to 2011. Today they released a new music video for their new single “Nova.” Just like “Into The Clouds” the video is full spectrum of colors from the rainbow. Their world of fantasy has truly been created in this masterful music video. The environments, clouds, background and effects are captivating. And the song itself? Absolutely delicious. The band’s obsession with synths and keyboards boast their ability to create lush New Wave electronica that’s so smooth and poppy. There are beats within the song that I know if remixed could also take it into an even bigger and more banging song.

I don’t know if there’s a lot of anticipation for the band’s debut full-length, but their YouTube also stated that it will be released April 25th, 2011 via Geffen Records. Maybe they meant Interscope?

LADY GAGA “Born This Way” MP3

Lady Gaga

So here we are, we finally have the new single “Born This Way” from Lady Gaga’s third album of the same title. After numerous hits with “Just Dance” “Telephone” and “Alejandro” it’s about time that we’re bombarding with something “new.” In all its glory, the song is pretty big and of course along the lines of Madonna and actually, in my opinion a touch of MIKA. It’s got the pop elements from her earlier songs and the dance section. Lyrically it seems a little bit more “normal” but at the same time hits like anthem. It’s a good song to starts things off. It’s not as weird as I wanted it to be, but we still have a whole album to go.

Her new album Born This Way will be out March 22nd, 2011.

LADY GAGA “Alejandro” (Skrillex Club Remix) MP3

Lady Gaga

When I posted about Lady Gaga’s single “Just Dance” two years ago, I never knew that she’d eventually become the new and current Queen of Pop. So many singles from Telephone, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Poker Face and Alejandro took over the charts worldwide. And even though her songs are still welcomed into the New Year, there’s a lot of anticipation for the Top Selling Artist in 2011. Will she continue to reign in the New Year? Only time will tell. The young twenty four year old has been working nonstop and she’ll have to work even harder next year. Her new album will be titled Born This Way. And if it that’s indicative of her work ethic, I have a feeling we’re going to be hearing some new singles by Lady Gaga charting again real soon.

But for now, download the Skrillex Club Remix of her insatiable “Alejandro.” If you’re partying tonight, I’m sure you’ll hear this song along the way.
