WALLPAPER. "Shotgun" STREAM + TOUR DATES

Wallpaper.

Booty lovers get your asses ready as Oakland’s Wallpaper. with his new guns (his #STUPiDFACCED EP) is heading out on a new tour with AWOLNATION. Odd pairing, but regardless of who Wallpaper. goes on tour with or opens for – he along with his gang absolutely kills it live. Asses will shake. If you’ve never seen Wallpaper. live don’t miss out. If you don’t believe it, well just peep at some live videos from his EP release below:

And for a week, the song “Shotgun” from the EP can be downloaded for FREE on iTunes. This is either my first or second favorite song on the new release. It’s got a bass drop early in the song that’s absolutely insane. And if you like to get crunk on the weekends well, this song SHOULD BE YOUR weekend theme song!
Tour Dates:

August 2 Springfield, Mo. – Outland Ballroom
August 3 Fayetteville, Ark. – George’s Majestic Loung*
August 4 Dallas, Texas – The Prophet Bar*
August 5 Houston, Texas – Warehouse Live Studio*
August 6 Austin, Texas Beauty Bar*

STILL CORNERS "Don't Fall In Love" MP3 + TOUR DATES

Still Corners

Still Corners are releasing one of my most anticipated albums of the year. Their debut full-length Creatures of an Hour will be released via Sub Pop Records on October 11th, 2011. And like with any new release, the album must be supported. I haven’t had the chance to see them live yet. But hopefully their airy ethereal gems are unearthed in a beautiful way in the live setting.

But not on the album is their track “Don’t Fall In Love” from their Great Pop Supplement 7″. The track is a jangling pop song that is a good intro what you’ll be expecting from the band.

Tour Dates:

FUTURE ISLANDS “Before The Bridge” MP3 + TOUR

Future Islands
Baltimore’s Future Islands are about to embark of a pretty hefty tour, but before doing so listen to their new single “Before The Bridge” so you know you have a reason to hear these heart drenching new wave synth pop songs. Starting with a killer guitar riff, that’s actually quite subtle – but it builds up the song’s romantic aim so effortlessly. And not too soon after the thumping bassline, drum machine and vocals kick in spinning you around into a a dead white landscape of hearts frozen in time during the Arctic Ice Age. The song paints such a stunning image. “Do you believe in love? Do you believe in love? Hold your tongue, hold your tongue” echoes in the song. Well, do you?
Head over to their website to see them on tour.

LETTING UP DESPITE GREAT FAULTS “Teenage Tide” MP3

Letting Up Despite Great Faults

One of the most underrated pop bands in the United States is about to release their new Paper Crush EP via Old Flame Records on August 2nd, 2011. And if you’d like to hear why they’re underrated just listen to their track “Teenage Tide.” With plethora of bands aiming for hip by soullessly meshing up styles into one – the Los Angeles band keeps it simple with their fuzzy pop formula. The jangling guitars accompanied by the subtle fuzz and synths just may be the perfect rooftop song to dance around to this New York summer after yesterday’s Heatapocalypse. It’s bright and sunny for sure. Makes me wish I was about a decade younger when I wasn’t so bitter. But that’s okay, I’m sure this song will cheer up me sometime this summer 🙂
