The Millipedes

The Millipedes is a new Brooklyn-based project lead by My Teenage Stride lead man Jed Smith. Not too different from My Teenage Stride, the sound is a lot more doo wop and fifties themed compared to the pop punk stylings. Although the track “I Cast You Out” retains that punk vibe. And the last song of their three songs “You Can Dance” literally time warps you to a time when all you’d want to do is twist the night away! But lead track “Cold Snap” literally blends both ends together so effortlessly. With guitars that jangle like the sun pushing through heaven’s gates, this song is indie pop ice cream that melts in your mouth and then gives you a nostalgic brain freeze when you were a five year old running through the summer’s sunny summer days.

Although I’m a big fan of My Teenage Stride I’m pretty excited to hear more from this project!

I like all 3 songs so far! Very excited to hear new music, whether it’s MTS or The Millipedes 🙂
