GIRLS “Vomit” MP3

Okay, I admit it. I was also was skipping out on the wave that Girls have surfing on. But this new track “Vomit” is just how I like it. Dark, solemn, yearning and depressing. Christian Owens’ vocals really tear into that layer that most people don’t let in. And even though my tastes for rock ballads and opuses came and gone with Nirvana back in the early nineties, the jittering and gritty guitar solos does it for me just right. I’m usually obsessed with depressing songs in a “positive” way, and this just may have made it into my very selective list of depressing songs that makes me feel “good.”

Their new album Father, Son, Holy Ghost will be released September 13th, 2011 via True Panther.
