Chiddy Bang

Ahhh…yes! The duo that used indie rockers Passion Pit and MGMT to add a big dash of “POP” to their crossover style hip-hop is back. This time around they’re back with an original titled “Rebel.” And even though it’s short in its clocking time of 2:21, it packs the same amount of energy their tracks “Truth” and “The Good Life” did. It’s a quick and fast paced foot stomper. Chiddy’s clean lyrics over Xaphoon Jones’ production style sounds so fresh. I’m hoping that they’ll start churning some more originals soon. I’m still waiting for their full-length The Swelly Life. So for now “Rebel” is gonna have to quench my thirst.
