BROWN RECLUSE "Impressions of a City Morning" MP3

Brown Recluse

After releasing beautiful EPs such as Black Sunday and The Soft Skin, dropping “Sings” from their name and joining the army that is Slumerland Records, Philadelphia’s sunny pop band Brown Recluse will finally release their debut full-length. Titled Evening Tapestry, the album will contain their brand of sultry beach pop ala Brian Wilson. If you’d like a taste of that just listen to “Impressions of a City Morning.” It’s a short mixture of early Of Montreal and elephant6 like pop. Lead by Timothy Meskers’ soft vocals and backed by the band’s somber strumming guitars and mellow keys, it points towards that era when pop music really was simple. The album will be available February 15th, 2011.
