Penguin Prison

What began yesterday is possibly one of the weird tours I’ve seen put together. Not that both artists won’t be enjoyed by the massive amounts of sweaty girls seeing them, but on a musical scale they’re both a little different from each other. Girl Talk’s one man laptop performance mashing up today’s Top 40s and indie rock stars and then Penguin Prison’s lavish mixture of old flavored disco and modern pop are quite the contrast. But it has been proven to work. In an older track, Girl Talk actually used Chris Glover’s vocals for his track “Happen.”

So if they haven’t passed by your town yet, warm yourself up with Penguin Prison’s “New Year 2011 Mix.” Then get ready to get squashed by the hoards of insane drugged up fanatics during the Girl Talk and Penguing Prison tour.
