In the vein of Aztec Camera, Felt or even Prefab Sprout the Generationals’ jangle pop is put together in good form. “Trust” from their new Trust EP is a strong and well-written tune. It doesn’t go beyond what is needed but has all of the requisites of being a good pop song. If they had any luck, I can see their tune being next to the likes of Vampire Weekend. Expect to see their sophomore album Actor-Caster on March 29th, 2011.
