THE RADIO DEPT. “Heaven’s On Fire” (KEXP Acoustic Version) MP3

The Radio Dept.

When The Radio Dept. came to New York they took some time to make a quick recording session at KEXP’s studios. Their ultra stripped down version of “Heaven’s On Fire” really accentuated Johan Duncanson’s masterful emotive vocals. In the background Daniel lead the beautiful melodies with his piano and Martin made the guitar gently breath underneath. The original was already a somber pop tune. But this version was much more enchanting and personal. It created an atmosphere where loneliness was accepted and cherished.
