Blackbird Blackbird

Young Mikey aka Blackbird Blackbird is forging on with a brand new album. The single “Eraser” from his forthcoming sophomore album is a masterful example of psychedelic blip pop. The bubbling atmosphere projected by the song makes us east coast kids wish for the west coast bay. But there’s nothing wrong with dreaming. And even though at times the track would resemble the electro pop goodness of the Postal Service if they would have smoked out much more in the studio – that’s not a bad thing. Blackbird Blackbird has really risen to release some of the most beautiful ethereal music this year.

Anything Blackbird Blackbird = great. I’m so glad there’s some new material! Thanks for the head-up!
Nice blog btw, it’s very clean and uncluttered (i.e. very readable!)

Thanks Scarlet! I’ve definitely become a fan of Blackbird Blackbird since I first heard of him as Bye Bye Blackbird! So good!
