THE WALKMEN "Angela Surf City" MP3

The Walkmen

It’s been a while since I’ve listened to The Walkmen. Their first album Everyone Who Pretended To Like Me was a masterpiece. Then the “The Rat” from their sophomore effort Bows + Arrows was beyond powerful. But ever since then their efforts have mildly moved me. But now their new album Lisbon contains some jewels that just may catch the sparkle in my ear. And one of those gems is named “Angela Surf City.” Slowly coming along the track soon breaks into an attack that pounds hard enough to make me nostalgic of my early “indie rock” years and consuming music that made me panic with sweat, but on the positive side. It contains the power and hooks to keep me attached. If the rest of Lisbon is anything like “Angela Surf City” it just may be more than enough to get me off my laptop and enter a record store with the goal of purchasing an album.
