Au Revoir Simone

In order to keep fans at your toes these days, you need to feed them constantly.  When a new album is not at hand, you can always go the route of doing a covers album or in this case a remix album.  On July 6th, 2010 Au Revoir Simone will be releasing Night Light, a follow-up to their last album Still Night, Still Light.  And this instance, a remix can completely turn a song and make it do a 360. Remixed by the Swedish pop maestro Jens Lekman, their tune “Shadows” shifts from its electro-pop roots and becomes a full pledged pop masterpiece resonating with artists of the past such as The Shangri-Las, The Ronettes and The Shirelles. Something to think about girls?

See the girls live this weekend in Brooklyn and on a brief tour the beginning of July.
