THE SHINS "Goodbye Girl" (Squeeze Cover) MP3

The Shins

We finally hear back from The Shins in almost over three years. The band (James Mercer with Shins guitarist Dave Hernandez, on drums by Joe Plummer (Modest Mouse, Black Heart Procession), and on keyboards by producer Sean Flora) recorded a cover of Squeeze’s “Goodbye Girl.” The recording was a part of Levis’ Pioneer Sessions. The sessions are part of a series where today’s artists cover classics. Past sessions have included She & Him and The Dirty Projectors.

The Shin’s cover turns the new wave track into one of their own.
