Year of The Tiger

There may be a “new” movement going on or maybe at least one that seems to be trying to eek out a new come back by making things a little bit fresher.  From the over the wall stage shows of Lady Gaga and her electro-tinged club jams, Sleigh Bells turning the distortion pedal to the max, Christina being more bionic than she’s ever been and of course M.I.A. gunning for it, there’s a trend going around. Though none of these bands were the “electroclash” bands of past, the fusion of gritty electro beats, big dance and glam can be found between them all.

New electro duo Year of The Tiger seems to be following on the trails of this trend.  But with their track “Electric” seems to get much more sexy without the forced indulgence.  Sable Yong’s voice is alluring and teasing.  Henry Ivery’s programming is thick with actual hooks.  Together they’ve written a song that would make anyone hot, wet and hard…with excitement.

All that’s left is for the live show to make you feel that special “special” inside.  The duo will be performing their first show May 25th, 2010 at Spike Hill in Brooklyn.
