The Pains of Being Pure At Heart

Everyone’s favorite indie-twee-pop heroes are back with another indie-twee-pop music video for their track “Higher Than The Stars” from their Higher Than The Stars EP.  The song is blissfully shimmering bright.  Kip’s guitar is fully clean, vibrant and jangling at light speed.  Partnered with the subtle humming keys beneath it, the song is a great song recalling 80s love. The video itself is the quintessential indie-twee-pop video that folllows a lonesome New York heart joining a party full of puffed out cutesy stuffed animals.

On top of a new music video, the band will also be releasing a new 7″ single titled Say No To Love.  On the B-side is their 90s guitar-like pop song “Lost Saint.”  Once again the guitars churn out heavier strums in comparison to the jangle of “Higher Than The Stars” but is also once again followed by subtle clean keys.  Though a B-side, “Lost Saint” is more than strong enough to be an A-side track.  Pick it up from Fortuna! POP on their upcoming tour dates.
