INTERPOL “Lights” MP3

Interpol

More than decade later, New York’s Interpol are still kicking. Heck, they’re on tour with U2 at the moment while their still untitled fourth album is awaiting its release. “Lights” from the album just like its title is “Interpol light” and never seems to gain the big sweep that their previous singles cotained. The song churns out Banks’ singing in typical fashion following an echoing guitar that never really seems to blow out the speakers. But if you are a fan of Interpol it may just catch your attention in anticipation for bigger songs on the album.

Its been a long time, and this isn’t worth the wait. Sure, it’s typical Interpol right from the start, and it will grow on you the more you listen, but that’s all. I will buy the new CD whenever it is ready,I only hope this isn’t the best they have to offer. If it is, the U2 crowd can have them this summer.

    really?

It’s grabbed me more than any of their previous stuff – I love it. Maybe pulling in a new fan group?

    Nice work

I used to think that Interpol were ok, nothing special

A friend had got a couple of tickets to see them live in Glasgow, Scotland, so I went along, was completely blown away and am now a huge fan
Sure some of their songs aren’t great but that’s the same for every band out there

    pioneer to the falls
    obstacle 1
    c’mere
    narc
    pace is the trick
    say hello to the angels
    take you on a cruise
    mammoth
    no i in threesome
    slow hands
    rest my chemistry
    the lighthouse
    evil
    heinrich maneuver
    not even jail

    nyc
    stella
    pda

That was the played set and I would advise anybody to give it a go
