CHROMEO Talks New Album w THE FADER VIDEO

Chromeo

A few days ago one of my favorite retro dance acts Chromeo talked with FADER TV about their studio and their upcoming third album.  There’s mention of the progression they’ve taken from She’s In Control and Fancy Footwork and then to their third.  They also claim that they were one of the first to “Jheri Curl” music in the early 80s compared to their new wave and electroclash counterparts.  It’s a pretty cool video to check out for studio geeks to see what it may take to really make an “old” sounding retro record. These guys are pretty “serious” about the music they produce. They’re much more than some of the “silly” lyrics you’ve heard on their records. Check out “Night By Night” on their upcoming third album.
