LCD SOUNDSYSTEM First Show In Three Years + MP3

LCD Soundsystem

It’s been almost six + years since I’ve seen LCD Soundsystem in Miami. Brooklyn Vegan today just posted their report on the first show LCD Soundsystem has had in three years.  That’s a hefty amount of time.  From the photos by Tim Griffin the crowd seems to be a bunch of bearded flannel wearing types holding onto their beers and just standing still.  It’s quite possible they were just in “awe” of the returning nu-disco kings.  Or it’s also quite possible that unfortunately unlike us “Miami Kids” they have no booty rhythm in their souls.  But I may wrong. Reporter Bill Pearis stated “The crowd really was moving all night.”  What I am sure of is that LCD Soundsystem puts one hell of an energetic live performance.  With James Murphy now being 40 years old and announcing that the upcoming album will be LCD Soundsystem’s last, it’s best that fans of music see them live before the music fades.  Tickets for their show April 12th, 2010 at Webster Hall just opened up.  Get those tickets fast!

Their new album This Is Happening will be released May 18th, 2010 on the beloved DFA Records. An insane amount of touring will commence April 16th, 2010.

Here’s a video of “Drunk Girls” from last night’s show at Music Hall of Williamsburg:
