After blowing through SXSW 2010, Japanese power pop trio (and rock stars) Chatmonchy are hitting the United States with some dates to prove that power pop doesn’t only come from the land of Yankees.  The band made a big splash with their hit “Shangri-La”  and later on with “Daidai” which appeared on highly watched anime Bleach.  Now with successful singles and albums, playing numerous rock festivals in Japan, they’ve come to show off some of their rock n’ roll prowess.  The action begins tonight at The Bowery Ballroom in New York, New York for the Japan Nite tour.

See them live at the tour dates below:
03.21.10 @ Bowery Ballroom in New York, New York
