What’s there to say? How often is it that a Swedish artist has released music that wasn’t above par regardless of tastes. Quintessential fuzz-pop heroes The Radio Dept. better known for their contribution to Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette have finally announced their third album Clinging to a Scheme. With much anticipation of the last few singles, The Radio Dept. has released another single from the album titled “Heaven’s On Fire.”
Sticking to the formula based from their sophomore album Pet Grief, all of the fuzz is in tact. But unlike the previous album, “Heaven’s On Fire” shares a common vibe from their previous single “David.” Though lyrically brooding, the mood has been lifted and if one were to miss out on the lyrics, the music itself will have you dreaming of white puffy clouds while you drown in a bed of white sheets and elephant-sized puffy pillows.
goWith two great singles already released, we are in for another classic album. Clinging to a Scheme will be released April 21, 2010 on Swedish label Labrador Records.
