STREET FIGHER 4 Website Goes Live

I’ve been retired from video games for a few good years now. But if there is one game to bring me back out from hiding it may me Capcom’s 4th installment of legendary video game Street Fighter.

When I first saw EGM’s issue that debuted some images and details about the new Street Fighter 4 game, I wasn’t sure if I was too impressed. The new graphics which were a combination of cel-shading, 3D but with 2D controls looked really cool. I was actually glad that they didn’t decide to full-on 3D with this next installment. The feel and controls of Street Fighter is what made it such a legendary franchise. The endless hours of game play through smooth controls made the game what it is.

So it has been announced that the original 8 playable cast from Street Fighter II will be coming back. There will also be some new characters such as Abel, Crimson Viper, El Fuerte, Rufus and Seth. It’s suppose to take between Street Fighter II and Street Fighter III.  Does this just really sound like another rehash of Street Fighter II with new graphics, modified game play and some new characters? We will see.
