CAPCOM to follow Marvel Comics to the Movies

CAPCOM vs MARVEL

Giant video game franchise Capcom are deciding to follow Marvel even further to Hollywood. With Marvel banking off several franchises such as X-Men, Spider Man, Fantastic Four and now Iron Man, they’ve been able to maximize visibility of their company to audiences that may not even be familiar with their other characters and franchises.

Staple video game developer/publisher Capcom has a slew of franchises to use. Having already made successful movies off Resident Evil and a really subpar Street Fighter, this could be the right time to produce some great entertaining Hollywood friendly movies. Games such as Devil May Cry, Mega Man, Dark Stalkers, Ghouls N’ Ghosts and Bionic Commando could all be hits if producers and directors treated these stories and characters seriously. They have all been around for years garnering fans and have been greatly developed.

Though there is a Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li coming out, let’s hope that all future endeavors will be much better than what has stereotypically happened to video-game-to-movie movies.

Onimusha will stay on hold there would be a rewrite of the script to follow the story based on the first game there will be some Asian screenwriters to write the script and there will be Asian filmmakers and production companies invloved on the project.
Capcom should talk to the filmmakers behind the Mortal Kombat movies to work on the Darkstalkers series with video games,TV show and animated series and feature films.

Devil May Cry will get some Amercian movie producers of the Blade and some behind Underworld movies to produce the film also if David S Goyer will write the script and any Amercian director to helm the film.

Onimusha will be a Japanese/French/Chinese co production and there will be a music score by the same Japanese music team who did the music score for Onimusha Warlords game.
There will be a script and plot rewrite with Asian script writers to adapt the script to be based on Warlords game.

Darkstalkers will be a movie to be produced by Lawrence Kasanoff/Threshold Entertainment in association with Capcom Company.
Christopher Faloona will be phtography director,Jonathan Sloate to work on the music with the sounds of techno and trance and the visual effects to be created by Threshold Digital Research Labs (TDRL).
