CHESTER FRENCH She Loves Everybody MP3

CHESTER FRENCH

Pop duos seem to be a norm, from Simon & Garfunkel and Chad & Jeremy to today’s Kings of Convenience, This Is Ivy League and now Chester French. Now I first heard about this duo through a friend almost two years ago. Yes, almost two years ago. Sorry Perez (Hilton), but you didn’t discover them just the way you didn’t discover any of the music on your blog. Not to say your exposure of certain bands hurt them, but please please try to stop claiming that you’ve “discovered” certain acts.

But okay, this blog post isn’t about Perez Hilton, it’s about the pop duo Chester French.

Story goes that these two Harvard students grew bored with their academia and turned to creating pop music in their basements. Then then their demos magically appeared on Kanye’s lap and then “quickly became one of the most hotly pursued new artists of the decade, attracting offers from Kanye, Jermaine Dupri, Pharrell and Jimmy Iovine.” How true this is, I don’t know but their “anticipated” Love The Future just may offer us some good summer time pop tunes to forget about the heat.

Their lead song and single “She Loves Everybody” seems to have been catching everyones ears for quite some time now and even almost two years later, they still do resonate in my ears. Though this slightly tweaked version (having been recorded in a real studio with Pharrell) sounds a bit more produced with effects running underneath it, the catch is still there. Let’s hope that the rest of the album can be as hooky as this song.
