JANET JACKSON Feedback MP3

JANET JACKSON

Well, with Britney’s come back I guess it’s time for someone who she’s ripped off without handing proper credit to come back as well. Long time diva and fame due to a certain relation of a certain someone is on the come back trail as well. With this year and seemingly enough next year to be filled with fabulous female popstars on the horizon, Janet Jackson seems to have followed the formula of “reinvetion” through the simple club beat formula.  “Feedback” has been buzzing about all over the internet and radio stations.  Let’s see if this feedback is enough to carry it on until February 26, 2008 when her new album Discipline drops.
With Kylie Minogue, Gwen Steffani, Madonna and others “indier” acts like M.I.A., Roison Murphy, Sally Shapiro and a slew of strong positive women breaking their beats this year, WOMAN POWER is definitely on display.  RESPECT!

THE CLIENTELE I Had To Say This MUSIC VIDEO

For months I’ve been imagining music videos in my head while listening to sweet innocent pop music during those long lonesome subway rides. Cold temperatures induce those creative urges out of me. What else is there to imagine other than dream-like romantic sequences? Well, let’s say that this little simple video is quite similar to how I’d like my future home-made music videos to turn out. Simple song, simple sequences that just work right with the right song. That right song was “I Had To Say This” from THE CLIENTLE’s Suburban Light.

BROWN RECLUSE SINGS Purple Snowflakes (Marvin Gaye cover)

BROWN RECLUSE SINGS

WOW! Are my favorite Philadelphia psych-pop band all over the place these days. First Veronica Mars and now a feature one of the most respected blogs, IDOLATOR. With winter about we are bound to run into a ton of “winter” themed songs and covers snowing down. Brown Recluse Sings decides to cover Marvin Gaye’s “Purple Snowflakes.” You can definitely hear Brown Recluse Sings’ psychedelic touch all over this sweet soul tune.  But just like Marvin, Tim’s voice also touches you quite gently as if a drifting purple snowflake just landed on your nose.
